Drying Sarees at Hampi, India
Drying Sarees at Hampi, India
Giclee print from an original watercolour made during a tip to Hampi in India. A place of pilgrimage, many people come from all around India to worship at the temples here to the many Hindu gods. The Tungadabhadra river that flows through Hampi is also a place of cleansing and ritual, where the people come to wash themeselves and their clothes and dry them by holding them up in the breeze where the silks of reds, oranges, and bright colours, dry in minutes in the hot Indian air.
